Over the past several years, Azevedo said the city has received many complaints about the pool’s antiquated condition. “As soon as the economy turns around, it will be number one on our list to get the pool restored and up and running again.” “The issue is paying for the lifeguards and all the costs,” Councilwoman Kathy Azevedo said. In the meantime, city officials are sending people to Corona and approaching the Corona-Norco Unified School District to explore sharing the Norco High School pool.
